About the Class
This class offers a greater depth of skills and a focus’s on the mindset needed to follow in the footsteps of a boxer. From the fundamental basics of good stances, to use of hand-eye coordination drills and combos. During each class, we develop key skills and you will progressively gain more confidence in your abilities against an opponent within any boxing ring. The boxing ring in our gym, creates a realistic feel and gives each fighter more knowledge on how to move around and defend themselves within the given space.
With guidance from our instructors, your agility and focus will improve, as well as a shift in awareness of your surroundings. This will undoubtedly help to make you more alert, even within your own daily tasks.
The key benefit of having a grouped class, is that it gives each student the necessary training of paired boxing drills with the aide of mitts and gloves on a large open training area. Having a large area offers each student the opportunity to engage in the practice of new sparring techniques and combos.
When a student has displayed the fundamental basics and the vital knowledge required, we can give them the opportunity to partake in an external Boxing Gym Spar. This gives students the opportunity to test out their newly acquired skills against an unfamiliar opponent. This is a great way to challenge, test and refine skills further, under a safely controlled and professionally run event.
